About Maha Pooja and Homa

Sri Shirdi Sai Biksha Kendra (SSBK) is a spiritual and social service organisation. The Maha Pooja and Homa will be performed with 1,008 Jyothirlingas by 1,008 devotees at the same time in the same location. This pooja and homa is unique of its kind as this is being done for the first time in India and will be performed as prescribed by our holy scriptures.

Dr. Sri Lakshmi Srinivas Guruji (Sri Guruji) was born & brought up in Mandya City of Karnataka State in India. Sri Guruji holds a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from Mysore University and Master of Science from BITS – Pilani.

By profession he is a Software engineer and has worked with reputed multinational companies holding top positions for 27 years. Companies Sri Guruji worked at are IBM India Pvt Limited , Lucent Technologies, INS India Development Center, GE Global Exchange Services India, Majoris System Pvt Limited, BFL Software Private Limited (Emphasis Pvt Ltd), RelQ Software Pvt Ltd, KALS Information System Pvt Ltd and Value Plus System Pvt Ltd.

Sri Guruji was also a visiting faculty in Bangalore University and Engineering colleges like Ghousia College of Engineering & Bangalore Institute of Technology.

Sri Guruji is also well versed with traditional dance forms like Bharatanyam that he learnt from K S Mani (Mandya), T Somashekar (Mysore), Dr Venkatalakshmama (King's Court Dancer - Asthana Nartaki Mysore), Sheela Shreedhar from Adiyar Kalashetra, (Mysore)and Kathak which he learnt from Nagaraj Mysore. He has not only trained many students but has also given many performances across India and abroad.

He is a Spiritual Guru who started following Datta Sampradaya at the age of 13 under the spiritual guidance of Sri Bhagirathi Maharaj, Sri Niranjananda Saraswati and Sri Chetanananda Saraswati. Guruji Sri has also learnt yoga from Malladi Halli Sri Raghavendra Swamiji (Tiruka) and Kaya Kalpa Kriya an ancient knowledge of increasing longevity of life from Narayana Das Guruji who is disciple of Tapasvi Maharaj .

A kit/bag comprising of a total of 40 items required for the pooja will be provided for each participating devotee.

Get your tickets

After making the payment in the bank or online, pooja participants must call the below numbers and provide details of the payment made and get their receipt number and seat number. Participants can collect their receipt on the address below between 9am to 6pm everyday or collect the receipt on the pooja day at the venue. In case of payment by cash the receipt must be collected with the seat number. The receipt must be brought to the pooja venue without fail. Without this receipt pooja materials will not be given and entry to the pooja venue will not be permitted.
